Luxembourg Province, a conscious decision
For the Managing Director of ALDI Vaux-sur-Sûre, Pierre-Alexandre ROCOUR, “the reason for setting up a regional hub at the business park managed by IDELUX in Vaux-sur-Sûre was based on a strategic geographical decision, as the only Walloon hub at the time was in Gembloux. To offer a better service in the Liège region and Luxembourg Province, the ALDI site in Vaux-sur-Sûre, close to motorway routes, was the ideal choice. It means we can serve Luxembourg consumers even more effectively, thanks in particular to our network of around fifteen sales outlets”.
In addition, ALDI benefits from a decentralisation policy within ALDI Belgium that helps save time and kilometres when it comes to logistics.
The company is a major job creator in the province. This is demonstrated by the recent expansion of the distribution centre, less than 5 years ago, with the addition of several tens of thousands
of square metres.
ALDI Belgium is not resting on its laurels
ALDI is an omnipresent discounter with 440 stores throughout Belgium. Each year, the company updates 10% of its stores, which corresponds to 30-40 real estate projects per year. The latest project in Luxembourg Province is the store in Bertrix.
In order to provide more space for their growing range, a pleasant working environment for all employees and more shopping comfort for customers, ALDI is making sure that each new store benefits from a bigger sales space.
