After the takeover of ABX in 2006, the company became market leader in the field of parcel delivery and courier services for 220,000 customers in 37 European countries.
In 2012, the company GLS, supported by IDELUX, constructed a cross-docking centre with a surface area of 1,500 m², mainly dedicated to the “parcel” activity, but also to the “pallet” activity.
This 3.6 million euro investment allowed us to not only keep the 15 existing jobs but also to create 5 additional jobs. Moreover, we have been able to maintain and expand our network of 40 independent drivers-carriers.
The Habay warehouse covers the province of Luxembourg for the Belgian network and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the European network. On average, we process approximately 5,500 parcels and 250 pallets at the Habay site each day. GLS is currently preparing the extension of the Habay site with a view to the growth of the company in this region.
