GLS Belgium Distribution, which has around 530 employees, almost 1,000 subcontractors (drivers) and between 100 and 200 temporary manual workers depending on the time of year, is a parcel delivery and freight business. This Flemish company made the decision to establish its business in Luxembourg Province (Habay) in order to better serve the south of Belgium as well as the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Keen to respond to the growing rise in the volume of parcels being sent, GSL Belgium Distribution continues to expand its business.

What is your main reason for moving to Luxembourg Province?
The geographical location of Belgian Luxembourg is ideal if you want to conquer the market in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the south of Belgium.
What does this investment involve?
In 2013, when we started working from the Les Coeuvins business park in Habay, we invested almost 5.3 million Euros in the construction of a brand new warehouse.
What are your future development plans?
We have just finished extending our warehouse. With our business’s strong growth this year, we will be planning another extension for the building very soon.
